Solving the School Lost Property Puzzle
Ragtagd is an Aussie startup using smart tags to help parents track lost school uniforms. Over 200 schools are already using their tech. But their next big leap? Reinventing the school uniform shop — with vending machines.
An Ambitious Vision
Ragtagd wanted to build vending machines capable of dispensing school uniforms. It was a brilliant idea — simple, scalable, and practical — but they needed a specialist manufacturer that could bring the vision to life. That's when they turned to Epic.

From Inspiration to Prototypes
We connected Ragtagd with manufacturers capable of custom vending machine production. Together, we attended China’s largest vending machine expo, scouted dozens of suppliers, and visited factories in person.
“Working with Epic Sourcing is just easy and straightforward. TK is super-efficient and responsible, giving us more time to focus on marketing and sales.” — Eugene Holdenson, CEO, Ragtagd
Within three months, the first prototype was ready. Interest from schools was immediate. A second, larger version soon followed.
The Result
What began as a sketch in a notebook became a full prototype in 90 days. We helped Ragtagd find the right partner, manage the design phase, and streamline communications. Today, they’re gearing up to roll out vending machines across Australia’s schools — and beyond.
