I started on the administration and accounts side of the business, then gradually got involved in more of Epic Sourcing's day to day operations. Over time the role grew into supporting clients directly, coordinating China trips and factory visits, and making sure the many small details behind a sourcing project are taken care of.
During the October 2025 Canton Fair we had nearly 20 overseas clients visiting China. I coordinated their trips, from hotel recommendations and Canton Fair registration through to app setup, airport transfers, and arranging our team members to support them. It was a very busy few weeks. It was also a good lesson in how many different parts of a China trip have to come together at the same time.
What I have learned is that good coordination is mostly about dealing with small details before they turn into problems. When overseas clients are travelling in China, the train tickets, hotel bookings, payments, transport and communication all have to line up. So I plan ahead and always have the next step ready.
I am now involved in the day to day running of the China team, supporting clients and our internal team across accounts, administration, travel arrangements and project coordination. A lot of my job is making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes, especially when clients are travelling in China.
Away from work I am into hiking, travelling and watching movies.
Betty is often one of the people clients deal with before and during a China trip. She helps with travel arrangements, hotels, train tickets, airport transfers, Canton Fair registration, factory visit schedules and payments, and she stays in contact throughout the trip. She also coordinates with the China team so the right people and arrangements are in place when clients arrive.
I think good support is about staying organised, thinking ahead, and making sure things are taken care of before they become a problem.
