I saw a lot of overseas clients run into trouble with transport and customs after they had sourced their products. I wanted to help them make their cross border logistics steadier and simpler.
A lot of what I do is consolidating goods from several domestic suppliers and arranging container shipments.
Early on, a document oversight led to cargo being held at port. That taught me to double check every logistics document for every shipment, in advance.
Now I support the company's global growth, keep improving our logistics channels, and put together cost effective, stable cross border transport for different clients.
Away from work I am into games and novels.
Bob comes in when an order is close to finished. He confirms the shipment plan, arranges the booking and the customs clearance, tracks the cargo, sorts out any problems along the way, and keeps the client updated until the goods leave port.
He has handled a large number of China export logistics projects for overseas clients, so he knows what shipping and customs need in different situations. He works in Mandarin, and coordinates with the rest of the team on anything that needs to be relayed to the client in English.
