I started my career in international business to business sales in China, working closely with overseas customers, factories, production teams and logistics providers. Over time I became more interested in the sourcing and supply chain side, especially finding the right suppliers and turning a client's requirements into a workable product solution. That led me to sourcing.
I am now building on that trade and client management experience at Epic Sourcing, working across different product categories and helping clients navigate the sourcing process with more confidence. I am particularly interested in developing my knowledge of supply chains, supplier evaluation, product specifications and logistics.
Outside work I enjoy the gym, music, and exploring new places around Auckland.
Jessica works with clients from the initial enquiry through to supplier selection and quotation. She helps clarify product requirements and specifications, communicates those requirements to suitable suppliers, compares pricing and capabilities, follows up on samples and technical details, and keeps information moving between the client and the factory.
Finding a supplier is only the beginning. The right supplier needs to understand the product, meet the client's requirements, and be able to deliver consistently.
Having spent five years on the factory side of international trade in China, she knows what a supplier needs to be told before they can quote accurately, and what a vague brief tends to cost later.
