Specialisation: supplier sourcing, timeline planning, quality control and contract negotiation, with a focus on children's products, toys, stationery, handicrafts, fitness equipment and packaging machinery.
In 2019 I won a major international retail chain as a new client on my own, from the first outreach and sampling through to a long running account that grew substantially year on year. That one still means a lot to me, and it is a big part of why I do this work.
These days I am engaging with a wide range of clients daily, trying to keep a balanced mindset and a reasonable work life balance alongside it.
Outside work I like slow paced travel, exploring local coffee shops across different cities, and learning crochet.
Jessica is involved from the initial project engagement. She runs the onboarding meeting to understand what the client needs, sources and screens matching suppliers, and produces a comparative supplier analysis report with pricing. From there she arranges and supervises sample shipments, then confirms and tracks the order.
On a recent wooden board project for an Australian client, she drew on earlier experience in the wooden toy industry to identify suitable suppliers and delivered samples the client was happy with. That order is currently pending confirmation.

Jessica Wu is a Case Manager and Sourcing Specialist at Epic Sourcing, based in Ningbo, China. She has worked in sourcing since 2018, with over eight years in foreign trade overall, and joined Epic Sourcing in 2025.
It varies with the product category and how much customisation is involved, from as few as 10 to as many as 20 or 30 suppliers. The three or four finalists presented in the report are chosen on a full evaluation, not just price. For products we ship regularly we prioritise quoting with existing suppliers, because the familiarity makes the process faster and easier to control.
