Specialisation: sourcing qualified suppliers, price negotiation, sample coordination, quality verification and order follow-up.
My university major was International Trade, and I have always been interested in bringing Chinese products to global markets. When I graduated I went into manufacturing. Later I realised sourcing would give me exposure to far more product categories, which is what led me to Epic Sourcing.
I am well acquainted with the sourcing industry now. Day to day I handle the coordination between factories and clients, and I keep working on the communication side of it, because that is usually where projects live or die.
Outside work I enjoy travelling, trying good food, hiking and reading.
Krystal receives the client requirements from the sales team, then organises and analyses them. On some projects she works with the wider team to source products and get quotations from factories. On others she takes full ownership of the whole thing, from quoting and sampling through to following mass production. Either way she keeps in close contact with the client across the full procurement cycle.
China's reputation as the world's factory is well deserved. If you want it, you can find it.
She studied International Trade and has spent her whole career in the sector, on both the manufacturing side and the service side. Living in Dongguan and attending the Canton Fair twice a year keeps her supplier knowledge current rather than historical.
