Specialisation: supplier development, fabric sourcing, production problem solving, and quality control.
I got into the industry after graduating in 2022. I started in export sales, then moved into production management, where I found I was much more interested in what happens after the order is placed. Making sure the factory, the materials, the samples, the timelines and the quality all line up is the part I like.
In 2025 I managed a production team handling more than 300,000 pieces a month across around 15 factories. That was probably when I learned that keeping 15 factories on schedule is less about chasing people and more about spotting problems before they become excuses.
I also learned not to take "no problem" at face value. A factory saying everything is fine can sometimes be the first sign that something needs checking.
Now I focus on helping fashion brands turn designs into production without unnecessary delays, costs or quality problems. I am usually looking three steps ahead for risks that have not happened yet.
Away from work it is the gym, surfing, music, and probably more coffee than necessary.
Janet works directly with clients, or takes over the production side once the requirements are defined. She translates design details into factory instructions, finds suitable suppliers and fabrics, reviews samples, follows bulk production, manages quality control, and steps in when something goes off track.
My specialty is finding out when a factory saying "no problem" actually means there is a problem.
She knows the Guangzhou Zhongda fabric market well, and which suppliers there have real manufacturing capability rather than just acting as middlemen. For a small brand ordering its first run, that distinction is usually the difference between a sample that arrives and one that does not.

Usually yes. The real question is what it will take to make it properly. Janet looks at the materials, the construction, the production process and the order volume before answering, because those are what decide whether a design is practical at the price and volume you have in mind.
She works backwards from your deadline and identifies the real production lead time, including the risks in between. That is more useful than a best-case number, because the risks are what actually move a delivery date.
She has worked with more than 50 factories and brands since entering the apparel industry in 2022, including SHEIN, Cider and Fashion Nova. In 2025 she managed a production team handling over 300,000 pieces a month across around 15 factories. She also knows the Guangzhou Zhongda fabric market well.
